Mobile Broadband users can expect an average throughput of between 1.5 and 3Mbps with peak speeds reaching 6Mbps. The transmission rate will be progressively upgraded to 7.2Mbps over the next 12 months, to provide end to end network capability for 7.2 Mbps across CBDs, metropolitan and selected regional locations.
- Maximum speeds of 3.6Mbps downstream and 500kbps upstream are theoretical maximum download and upload speeds achievable on HSPA/3G Network. Your actual achieved speed may vary substantially depending on a number of factors including network configuration, coverage (HSPA/3G/GSM), signal quality & strength, distance from the mobile tower, local interference, network traffic load and your hardware/software limitations
- When outside of HSPA/3G coverage area, your service will switch to GSM network with maximum speeds of 50kbps and practical speeds within 20-40kbps range.
- As with any network based on radio technology, local conditions may prevent or interfere with mobile reception within coverage areas. Examples can include inside concrete buildings, lift wells, basements, tunnels and road cuttings.
- Plans may only be used for data and SMS usage. This offer
excludes services including Optus Zoo, Voice Calls, International voice calls, Voicemail, premium
and Third Party SMS, MMS, International MMS, 1300, 1900 and all other services are barred from this service - Prices include GST. A security deposit of one months plan fee is payable and is applied towards final month of service. All accounts are charged monthly in advance.

Credit Card Payments attract a 1.25% surcharge as of 1st December, 2009. - Posted or Faxed Invoicing is also available at a $2.20 per invoice fee

The Mobile Broadband service requires you to use the USB modem supplied by Locall Australis. We are supplying the Huawei e169 USB HSPDA Modem.
