The 3G network is constantly being expanded to provide further coverage across Australia.
When outside the 3G coverage areas, users can still access the Optus 2G Network to send and receive voice and sms messages. The 2G network covers 96% of the population, making it ideal for users who live or travel to regional areas of Australia.
